At Greater Tomorrow Christian Academy, every school day is an opportunity for students to grow academically, spiritually, and socially. Our faith-based environment ensures that children develop strong values, a love for learning, and a sense of purpose. If you're a parent considering Christian education in Orlando, this inside look at a typical day at our school will help you understand why families love being part of the Greater Tomorrow community.

Starting the Day with Prayer and Purpose

At 7:45 AM, students start arriving, greeted by warm smiles and welcoming teachers. Before heading to class, students gather for morning prayer and devotion, setting a positive tone for the day. These short but powerful moments remind students that God is at the center of all they do.

“Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you.” – Psalm 143:8

After prayer, students head to their classrooms, ready for a day of learning, discovery, and faith-filled discussions.

Morning Learning Blocks: Engaging Minds & Encouraging Faith

From 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM, students dive into their core subjects, where academic excellence is seamlessly integrated with biblical teachings.

Math & Science with a Christian Perspective – Our curriculum encourages students to see the beauty of God’s order in mathematics and creation in science.

Reading & Language Arts – Engaging books and discussions help students develop literacy skills while learning about moral lessons in storytelling.

Social Studies & History – Students explore both world and biblical history, understanding how faith has shaped civilizations.

Teachers incorporate scripture into daily lessons, helping students see how God’s wisdom applies to every subject.

Lunch & Recess: Fellowship and Fun in Orlando’s Sunshine

At 11:30 AM, it’s time for lunch and recess, one of the most exciting parts of the day! Students enjoy nutritious meals in a family-style setting where they pray before eating and share meals together.

Healthy and Balanced Meals – We encourage nutritional eating habits that support growth and learning.

Outdoor Play & Fellowship – Whether on the playground, basketball court, or grassy fields, children get to exercise, socialize, and enjoy God’s creation.

Teachers often engage in playtime with students, reinforcing Christian values like kindness, teamwork, and respect.

Afternoon Enrichment: Creativity, Exploration, and Faith in Action

The second half of the school day (12:30 PM - 3:00 PM) is filled with enrichment activities that encourage students to explore their talents and passions.

Art & Music – Students express creativity through drawing, painting, and worship songs, often preparing for special church performances.

Physical Education – From sports to fitness challenges, our PE program promotes teamwork and discipline in a fun and encouraging way.

Bible Study & Chapel – Once a week, students participate in a special chapel service, worshipping together and hearing inspirational messages from teachers, pastors, or guest speakers.

At Greater Tomorrow Christian Academy, faith isn’t just a subject—it’s a way of life that’s woven into everything we do.

End-of-Day Reflection & Parent Involvement

As the school day wraps up, students reflect on what they’ve learned, reinforcing their academic and spiritual growth.

Homework & Family Devotions – Teachers provide assignments that encourage students to think critically while also discussing the day’s Bible teachings at home.

Parent Engagement – Parents play a crucial role in their child’s education. We encourage families to:

Review daily lessons with their child

Pray together as a family

Get involved in school activities and community service

Our school believes in partnership between parents and teachers, working together to raise faith-filled, confident, and responsible children.
